I've never liked Stargate SG-1, so I don't know about Atlantis... I think I grew out of Trek, and have been too spoiled by Babylon5 to really enjoy anything else. Firefly was interesting, though...
For me, part of the allure of Firefly was its difference. Also, the characters were halfway decent and it was properly shippy. The Sci-Fi itself was kind of lame, but hey - LMB doesn't explain faster-than-light travel either!
